Keep it for Luck These clothes and personal objects belonged to my mother and my favorite aunt, Florence. Dressmaking was a family business and there are many wardrobe remnants from those days. As I am the only daughter and only niece, I am entrusted with these special things. I have a hard time giving them away; they are tangible reminders of people I loved that loved me, clues to how they lived and the styles of the day. But I also feel their weight, stored away and not used, so I make photographs and begin to let them go.
